Status: Bed-ridden by intent
Yet another day go by idly. I think I spent 80% of today on the bed, be it sleeping, reading or watching Naruto anime. In fact I woke up really late, noon-ish, to the sound of my mom commanding me to do hang the washed clothes. It's kinda weird. Did she forget that I voluntarily made the laundry my exclusive chore last week? Wake up, do the laundry. Do one wash. Hang it. Do a third wash. Hang... Night time, bring them down. My routine last week. I didn't mind it one bit. I kinda enjoyed it.
Talhah? Enjoy household chores? Oh dear, the end is nigh!
Haha okay fine. Say what you want. When I'm in the mood.... that's the whole point. I think my mom also noticed that that mood is somewhat gone. Just like cleaning the living room. I had some plans but once I found out everyone's plan contradicted mine, I lost it. Now I can't be bothered and if anyone asks, I'll blame them.
Can't believe I've not met the rest of S.T.E.A.M. (a.k.a. W.A.S.T.E.) for half a week, no, more than that! Well, I kinda expected it, what with Wan and Shad working (though with Shad planning to stop I have some hope ^_^). Fortunately I've known ways to entertain myself since ages ago like gaming, surfing the net, cycling, reading... and books have been a good company.
I've completed 3 of the 4 books I borrowed. They're interesting reads. One was about a newly-wed couple, titled Newly Weds (rolls eyes), who had to blog about their first year of marriage, which was kinda rocky considering their contrasting personalities. The other, Ten Days to Zero, was a thriller of sort. A new concept for me. The author used official forms and memos and logs to help guide the reader and provide crucial information without the hassle of much description. Nicely done.
I just completed another book about this gal who turned down a proposal by her boyfriend of 5 years and the story mostly resolves into why. It gave some good insights into marriages and love and life. Made me remember the value of books and the lessons ingrained in its pages. The best books not just entertain you, they enlighten you.
I'll always remember that one of the greatest gift my mom ever gave me was the love for books. Apparently I inherited it from her and I would be lying if I said it had no influence in my life. It was my passion for writing and books that have lead me, albeit indirectly, towards my diploma.
Okay I think I better end this blog quickly I start it around midnight and one hour later I'm still not done yet, thanks to Ezza, Ama, Shad and Wan (in that order). Still, I'd be honest that their distraction is a welcomed one.
My blog can wait. So can you.
