Don't ever expect me to sayWhat I want for my birthday
Which falls on the sixteenth of May
-Hey wait, that's today!
Hah! Come and see if I care
Ask me if you really dare
Being happy this date is rare
Better luck finding a red bear!
Please do not be mistaken
Gratefulness I've not forsaken
Yet for all that I've taken
Feels inadequate for what I've given
I'll say this in English:
I don't ask to be rich
I've only got one wish-
A day with Dear, capiche?
I sound like a brat
I sound like I'm mad
No, I'm simply upset
Can't celebrate with her yet.
I'm gonna wake up late
I don't have any date
Nope, there wont be cake
I'm 24, for God's sake!
Don't worry, I'll be smiling
Good luck finding me wailing
I'll be pleasantly replying
To any and all birthday wishing!
I know I've gotta end
It's nearly 2 A.M.
To my family or friend,
My gift, don't forget to send!
(I've already celebrated 23 birthdays. It's just another one. But it should have been the first of many together with Her.)
