Is it me or are Singapore nights getting chillier? Have slept without my fan since coming back from Phuket and I still feel cold. It's nothing to do with Phuket cos we slept with the AC on. Singapore nights are definitely cooler lately.
It's kinda cool to finally have a group of friends playing the same games as you. Used to be just Hafiz and I playing Titanfall but with Edward and Ghazrezan now in the mix, Counter-Strike Global Offensive even becomes fun.
Speaking of CS:GO, my, how have the game changed. Last I played was CS Source if I'm not mistaken so I was lost when I first booted up CS:GO. But I like the new game mods like Deathmatch and especially Arms Race.
I noticed that my main issue with these games is that I have difficulties spotting the enemies especially when I'm on the move. Same for both Titanfall and CS. Might be something to do with my monitor, being stock and several generations old. I would want to buy a new monitor but it would have to wait til we move to a new house.
Talking about moving out, we have to seriously do something about packing up our stuff. All three of us have practically stopped boxing our belongings, largely due to the lack of serious buyers and the poor state of the current resale market.
Furniture wise, I'm currently seriously considered having lots of build in furnitures. Of course, it would depend on the house we will be buying. However, I do have a list and plans regarding the furniture for our future home.
1. Both sofa beds are definitely following us. The black L sofa will remain a living room fixture plus extra bed for sleep-ins. I'm still happy with my bed so I'll stick to it until I'm about to get married. Unless my wife don't mind using that bed. We shall see.
2. If I really can afford it, a Murphy bed in the other room would be awesome. We are planning to move to a 3 room flat and having a wall bed would maximise our floor space. It would all depend on our budget though.
3. For my own room, I want drawers. I've lived my whole young adult life using my old trusty cabinet but it doesn't have drawers which would help me with sorting and finding my clothes. Me being me, I like organising my items and having drawers sounds like a good idea to try. I still need a cabinet for hanging clothes but I'm definitely getting drawers too.
4. I'm still not sure about my book shelf and my computer table. I think I will let go of my computer table and get something which could accommodate future bigger monitors. I don't want to keep something just because it's sentimental and because I bought it with my own money. I will probably bring the shelf over to the new house until I make plans for my book storage in the new house. Wall shelves and cabinets, maybe?
5. The long foldable table is definitely following us. Dining table, TV console and coffee table are going away. Sorry. Well, maybe not the coffee table.
Oh well. We still have about 5 more cabinets in this house. We will probably bring over one or two. I don't necessarily have to refurbish the house immediately upon moving in but I do want to 'customise' and make the house my home with my tastes and ideas in it.
We shall see..
