ROBO RESCUE!!
And so on the 29th night of the fourth month in the year 2006 AD, bersamaan dengan 20 haribulan RabiulAwal tahun 1427 kalendar Hijrah, I finally received my enlistment notice. A burden has been released from my shoulders and soon a new one will be placed - such is the cycle of life.
Surprisingly I'm gonna be serving my NS under the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF). Hahaha, what were the chances. I mean, among all my friends, I'd think I'll seem the unlikeliest. However, perhaps so far too many TK malay dudes have been called to army so I guess I was the 'lucky' guy who got the CD draw.
12 September is the date of my destiny. Sweet. That means I will be around all the way for IVP and perhaps KPSK, Allah s.w.t willing.
Most people would shirk at the sight of their enlistment notice but I was truly glad. Serious. No, it's not that I'm a patriotic countryman ready to do his part for the nation. OK, I'm a bit of that but mostly it's because now I know I am going in and when. Now I can start planning for the months leading to 12 September. If I want to go to work, I know how long I have before I have to stop. If I want to go overseas, likewise. Same thing for training. Same thing for life.
Thing is.. big possibility my good buddy Fad is gonna be my officer. He's gonna be commissioned by August so chances are there. What the hell, take life as it goes eh?
P.S. how come I post as Broom but was referred to as NT-FD??
