Just because I have to update..

Been a while. What is there for me to update? There's a limit to what one can disclose about their work within the force and that is if there is even anything significant to talk about. In any case, so far so good in station. Many, many things to learn and many, many things to adapt to. Initially I thought, hey, one day work, 2 days off, that's quite a lot of free time.

But you don't really have that much free time if you knock off from work late, go home, sleep, wake up late afternoon/early evening, no plans for the night, slack at home... so one day burn. Then when you are actually up for something to do, your friends are all working. So it ain't such a perfect lifestyle after all.

Yet, I can't complain too much. I used most of these "opportunities" to entertain 'Aqilah, go for trainings (IVP is coming! ARGH!!), go to the library to borrow books to read, play games, etc.. I can't help but feel that despite all the good things going for me so far, there's something missing.

Ever watched that Richard Gere-Jennifer Lopez dance movie? Shall we dance or something? There was one part where the P.I. asked Gere's wife, why do people marry or something like that. Can't recall completely what is the actual quote but the sum of it is something like.. "people marry, not because of love or whatever, but because they want someone to witness and share their lives." Something like that...

I guess that kinda explains why many people say their partner "completes" them. When you have a significant other, you are significant to at least that one person. Your life is not a waste, so to speak. You are not alone, per se. And yes, I'm ranting. Can't help it. Yet to sleep since logging out of work this morning.

I think that's enough thought for the day. I'm probably gonna regret ranting on and on like a drunk (which I'm not, duh!) but meh, I'm bored.

Night.
