It's been a good morning.
Kena arrow to be the ground commander for today's drill. I believed I did reasonably well. I had a clear strategy and approach, conveyed it to the other SCs and things were done pretty smoothly. It wasn't flawless, but mission was accomplished.
Whenever I do a good drill, especially when I was the ground commander, I will remember Fehrin, whom I regard as my first fire-fighting mentor and role model. The guy who inspired me to sign on. I'm not belittling all the other seniors and teachers from Changi, Paya Lebar or anywhere else, but I was motivated to meet his expectations since I became a Section Commander. A lot of the things I know, especially my foundation, was shared by him.
So how good I am as a Fire fighter is a reflection of his leadership. Miss you Fehrin.
Hope the rest of the day stays cool (drizzled a bit) and awesome!
