"People don't care how much you know
until they know how much you care."
John Maxwell

Tuesday, April 29, 2008
"No, I was a drunk. You have to be richer than I was to be an alcoholic."

I'm a big Terry Pratchett fan. Whenever I visit the library, I would make a beeline for the "PRA" shelves in the fiction section. If you've ever read any of his work, you'd know how witty his books are.

One of his memorable quotes is a good sample of his style:
"Chaos is found in abundance where order is being sought. It always wins because it's better organised."
I think I've used that quote numerous times.

Anyways I was loitering at Parkway Parade just now, entered Borders and saw a book of his best quotes from his Discworld series. I *HAD* to buy it.

Wish I could give a longer post but since I got work due, I think I'll just randomly pick a page and give one of his quotes... ah here we are:

"Is it true that your life passes before your eyes before you die?"

"Yes"

"Ghastly thought, really." Rincewind shuddered. "Oh gods, I've
just had another one. Suppose I am just about to die abd this is my whole life passing front of my eyes?"

"I think perhaps you do not understand. People's whole lives do pass in
front of their eyes before they die. The process is called 'living'."
