Post-trip jitters
It should be getting easier each year, right?
In many ways, it is - for both sides. We know what to expect, what needs to be done, and the trust is mutual and impeccable.
Then complacency creeps in.
Being in charge of organising an overseas trips for 20-odd people is a huge responsibility. Yet, I feel the benefits of the Jakarta trips for my students outweigh whatever difficulties I face. That is why I take on the challenge.. and so far it's been a good experience for me too.
This year I've slacked tremendously, despite being aware that this trip is unlike any before, with 3 different flights to take note of. More chances of hiccups. I've got all the information, but they were scattered in my trusty Gmail, but that isn't good enough.
So tonight I've finally downloaded the necessary documents off my Gmail, printed what needed to be printed, sorted the files in folders on my HDD, and now I'm organised.
Ya Allah, please make this trip go along well.
