Great duty!
Well, great also means tiring in this instance. We were kept busy from the time we started work til we knocked off.
HRCT for Amirul and I in the morning. 3 vegetation fires along ECP. 1 coffeeshop fire right in my own neighbourhood. Encountered 2 RTAs with only one needing our aid.
This is why I love being a fire-fighter.
I don't think I've ever had 4 fires in a day. Yes, three were minor but still, fireside aren't usually this busy.
If my recent drill reminded me of Fehrin, the coffeeshop fire invoked memories of Encik Ismail and Tiah. I used the former's strategies with the latter's approach (i.e. Abandoning my section. Lol). All I can say that despite it being a 4 hour operation beginning at 3am, I felt good and energetic about it. Largely because I *contributed*. A lot of fires with my rota have little input from me because of my superstar Seniors like Tiah and Helmi eho will control the situation. Nothing against that cos they are awesome and I continue to learn from them but it does make me ask sometimes when will it be my turn. Well, my turn came this morning.
On the bad side, looks like buying food wont be a walk for the time being. I do buy food from that coffeeshop so I guess I will need to go to other shops for now.
After a really heavy nap at station, I'm now waiting at Boon Siew to collect Nicky. Going home after this. Wash my bunker gear and work clothes. We'll see how tired I really am then. As for now, i still feel energised. Hehehe. Adrenaline.
P.s. After all I said, no more fires please. Hahaha..
