Conclusions
In the past few weeks, I've finally completed so many important stuff. I finally finished my internship, therefore completing all my modules so unless, God forbid, I failed any of the last 3 modules last semester I should be a graduate of SP DMC course. Alhamdullilah. It has been a great experience. If TK was about me becoming who I am, discovering who is Talhah, SP is about making me a better person, Insya allah.
Of course I may have grouped my life experiences based on my Education level at that moment but one thing that has always been constant is Silat.
12 March was hell. It was the Festival Pencak Silat Temasek 2006, of which I was a member of the organising commitee, specifically as head of "Publicity and Documentation". Since I completed my ITP, I had spent nearly the whole week finishing, printing and binding the souvenir magazines, preparing the passes, etc. I also had to organise the video filming.
During the Festival itself, we had a frantic start to our preparations. For all our 'experience' organising ceremonies similar to the Festival, I think too many people were too anxious. In the end I unconsciously stepped into other matters I was not suppose to handle. Too many people were asking me stuff that weren't my responsibility. I think I should bring it up during a post-mortem.
However, once the Festival started, albeit a bit late due to the late arrival of our guest of honour, things went quite smoothly. Alhamdullilah. However, I sincerely hope we'll be better prepared for next year, IF we do organise another Festival Temasek. Considering the good response we received, a second Festival Temasek is a big possibility.
The week after the festival my Grand-master from Indonesia, who was one of our juries for the Festival, stayed on to attend our school's 'birthday'. So I helped out by accompanying him to places, etc. I can't remember exactly what I did, but I know I was quite busy. Imagine if I had continued working. Oh boy.
So, our birthday celebrations ended, this morning my Grand-master went home and finally, I can rest. Insya-allah. Now I only have to complete the Festival's official video and if I have time, complete the school's website. I hope I can complete it this time.
