Back to Channel 5..
Haha, ok ok, back to Channel 5. It was definitely fun and stimulating for me to post in Malay. I never really enjoyed the language in my primary and secondary school years but I do find fluency in the language, especially in writing, is a necessity especially in Silat where almost everything related to it is either in Bahasa Indonesia or Malay. If I want to be promoted within my Silat School, one of the criteria is to compose a "Karya Tulis", a ten-page article regarding anything about Silat, be it a thesis, own experience, etc. For us Singaporeans, we're encouraged to write Karya Tulis in Malay, though we could try it in English but... what to do, Big Boss say Malay, so Malay it is.
Wow. Wow wow wow. It seems quite surreal that I actually went out in two consecutive days. I thought I was gonna be exhausted from yesterday, considering we had a "meeting" last night that ended around... 3? Fortunately, waking up at 10am was sufficient. Yay-ness.
I left home at 12, already late, rushed to my sis's place to print some stuff only to find out... the laptop's with my brother.. "-_-.. Then I hurried to Bedok to meet up with Wan... only to find out around 30 minutes later he still hadn't left his home "-_-..
Fortunately things went a bit smoother after meeting him. Shortly after meeting Wan, met Shad and Ezza and that's when the day finally started. Took the train to Harbourfront, makan, solat then off to Sentosa we go!
The main goal for the outing was Shad's photography and I think he got some really good ones. still waiting for him to pass me today's and yesterday's collection. I'll hopefully post some of the better ones later. You can of course see what little he want to show on his blog. It was really enjoyable, trading witty remarks and sarcastic retorts with them. Too bad we were on a tight budget so no go for most of the rides. Like I told Wan to his amusement, "To really enjoy Sentosa and all the rides, you need at least 2 -3 days... and at least $300."
I guess all that walking tired us out eventually so we took the shuttle to Siloso beach to buy snacks and drinks at the 7-Eleven. Shad got pissed off. Wan got a free mineral water. We all got pissed off. We then proceeded to the beash, just lazing as Shad continued snapping pictures after pictures.. Met an old classmate, erm.. either Jill or Lynn, one of the twins.. LOL she's a lot taller than she was at Sec 4.
I guess the inactivity got to me and Wan so into the blue we went. Okaaay maybe not blue, more like murky green but still the salty ocean we went into. The swimming sessions kinda paid off as I felt really comfortable in the water. Yay-ness. Poor Wan. We had climbed on some rocks on a small island (those who has been to Siloso beach should know what we're talking about) and Wan, who was in front of me, had came to the edge of the rocks. As he contemplated jumping, some kids started singing and when Wan took too long, they "threatened" to sing more if he still won't jump. THEY EVEN CALLED HIM WIMP! Yes, that exact word, WIMP! LOL. Needless to say, I jumped in to show Wan the way and so Wan, finally enlightened jumped.. sheesh..
Later we took the opportunity and the solitude of the little isle to have a private conversation. Sorry, no disclosure on this blog. Gi relak sua...
Finally, we swam back to Shad and Ezza, washed up, took the bus back to Mainland Singapore and finally went our separate ways at the MRT. Since I had some things to settle at MEC, I alighted at Kembangan with Shad, and had an enjoyable conversation on the journey.
Thankfully my workload at MEC was considerably lighten by my helpful buddies Ridhwan and Kamal so after printing the schedules and sorting out the uniform, I was finally done for the day and here I am now, posting my latest blog.
Alhamdulillah. Syukran.. these sort of days... must enjoy them while they last..
