95 Songs.

**Warning! Long entry ahead!*

That's the exact number of songs I'd listen to from 2pm to 9.30pm, from Aegyptie's Novel to Eminem's Lose Yourself. For the first time since I bought the Zen Neeon, I played my songs "normally", meaning alphabetically. You know, to listen to all my songs before I book in.

Sad thing is, I've got a total of 533 songs in my player. Weeeell, I still got Monday @_@

Well, I've gotten most of the stuff I'll need in camp ready. In fact, everything is already packed in my well-worn big backpack. All that's left is for me to stuff in my slippers and some bermudas for sleeping. I'm planning to wear a Silat pants and a polo tee when I enlist so that means I'll have 2 long pants plus my sarong to wear when I want to Solat... if I get to Solat, Insya-Allah.

Today, as with most days lately, I woke up to an empty house. No problems. I mostly sought and put aside stuff for NS, did some web thingy, watch some Sunday morning cartoons before leaving home at 2pm.

Before I left I called my mom who told me the rest of the family were at Nek Asmah's place. Oh boy. Previously I've been the one among my siblings who'd come along whenever my parents visit her, now it's the other way round. Among my Atuk's siblings she's the closest to my family so I'll expect some sort of "backlash" next time we'll meet.

Anyways, I know I said I was going to the library in my previous post but I made a pitstop to Bedok first to get some "CDs" (celana dalam >.<" ) and a shaver using the $20 NTUC voucher my dad gave me. Only after getting those did I make my way to Marine Parade Library.

No matter how depress or stress or down I am, the nostalgia of better, younger, care-free days that Katong exudes always heals my wounds and soothes my mind. I can never get tired of this place. I guess that was why when I was thinking about what to do on this lonely Sunday, the vision of the Marine Parade CC building pops up in my mind.

It was raining but the weather did nothing to dampen my mood. I was a bit upset though that I reached Marine Parade around 4pm as that meant I had little time to really indulge into a book. The first thing I did was read 2 Marvel graphic novels before buying a "Chocolate Divine" from the "new" Cafe Galilee (nothing divine about it.. oh and I prefer Starbucks -.-) and settling into a nice fantasy book titled simply as "The Knight".

I walked to Parkway Parade around 5.45pm so as to Solat Asar and Maghrib as well as perhaps look around and see if I forgot/need anything else. I did buy somethings - A low-grade Sword Strike Gundam model kit (I know! I need to kick this addiction! BUT this model's been quite hard to find lately) and a $25 watch. I hope the watch will last longer than the one I bought at Jakarta..

After a solitary dinner at KFC I took the shuttle to Bedok where I walked home, a nice end to a wonderful day. Yes, it is wonderful day, I kid you not. I get to listen to my songs, I went to my favourite library, read comics, read and borrowed a book, did a little shopping, did some walking instead of taking the bus, little hassle... It was enjoyable. Yes, I was alone, but hey, not everything I enjoy must/can be done with friends. It's moments like this that I cherish being me. This is who I am. A bookworm. A gundam model kit addict. A Marvel comics fan, a spendthrift.. me..

All the while listening to 95 songs on my beloved Zen Neeon..
