SCT Talhah to Blogger, Message over.
It's been a while eh? NS has kept me real busy, with a series of weekends burned with guard duty and stuff. I've also been enjoying the most of whatever little "freedom" relaxing and destressing.
Oh, I went to Night Safari last weekend with my cousins, notably Kak Hajar and Mamat from Australia here for vacation. It was very interesting to note how comfortable we were together, the 5 cousins and my aunt, conversing, joking, having fun, as if they had lived in Singapore their whole lives and never migrated. It was like, how to say it.. very natural. Despite the fact that they migrated when I was still in early primary school or maybe even kindergarten, I felt as if I've known them as much as Kak Reen. I'm truly grateful for such bonds... (if you know what I mean)
On the NS front, this week I've got my Firemanship Challenge. I'm raring to go, though not with full confidence of pulling off a convincing victory. Surprisingly, my team has proven to me and others that despite their past performances during training and people's perception of them, they can do the tasks set upon us, and do it satisfactory - sometimes better than teams you'd think were better than us in many aspects. So, come Friday, if my team is balloted for any event, I know we will not disappoint anyone.
On the personal front.. the past week, I've spent my idle time thinking about my various relationships with the many people in my life and found myself disappointed with certain elements of my, erm, social life. Frankly speaking, I'm disappointed with the nature of my friendships with some, if not most, of the people in my life.
I am not gonna disclose anything else regarding that issue. Just know that.. I'm disappointed and sadden with some people I deemed close to me.
Oh by the way, I had an appointment with a financial planner on Saturday afternoon and found the session truly enlightening and fruitful. As part of my programme, I had to recommend 30 friends, so if anyone is contacted by any financial company and my name is mentioned, well.. no obligations but do note that if I didn't think it was any good I would not bother naming you. Plus, it's because I do care for you therefore I listed you so you may benefit from it as well. It's up to you to accept but I hope you won't be angry at me for it. If you don't want it, just reject it.
At this very moment I'm at Izzat's house. THough it's already 4am, I'm still up, but I strongly suspect it'll change once this entry ends. It's nice to blog again after quite a while.. Hope my next entry won't be as long.
To everyone I care, be happy and take care; SCT Talhah, out.
