Memorable two days!
WOAAAAAAAAAAH! I honestly think I've never been this exhausted working before. I mean, even the drill at CAFHI did not have such a... after-effects.
Yesterday we had a combined drill with AES, a simulated airplane fire. Our job was "easy", water supply and evacuation of casualties. It was anything but. In fact I think it's the toughest exercise *EVER*.. yet.. Even whatever they threw at us at ERS pales in comparison with yesterday. Even a guy who consistently got Gold for IPPT was struggling, though not as badly as me.
My left arm was nearly numbed by carrying the first casualty ON A STRETCHER. That's weak man. This is the very first drill I've done where I practically walked everywhere. It was hot. We were donned in thick jackets and leggings. Our fire helmet. The runway is... well, obviously no shelter. It was wide open. The nearest casualties were at least 40m, the furthest may even have been more than 100m.
Yet at the end of the drill, the sense of satisfaction is unparalleled. I survived BOBCAT! Hahaha..
Anyways it was the first time I woke up at 6am still feeling very exhausted even though I slept early. We went to McD Tampines Interchange for breakfast as a group. I tried the Mcgriddle. Not bad. I won't mind buying it again. Then 5 of us watched Iron Man. Marvel-lous. Haha, fine, that is corny. Doesnt matter, the effects was good. Story line aint too bad but then I'm not so much an Iron Man fan, so no major complains.
Went to Kakak's house after, entertained my two adorable nieces before collapsing in the guest room ard 3pm, waking up around 5.30pm, went home around 7pm... and here we are.
I still feel sleepy. Great two days though.
Finally, some positives in my life... It's getting rarer.
