Ok standby. Long post ahead. Not my fault. I posted about the Malacca ride yesterday at work but somehow it failed to upload. So Imma talk about that before touching on today.

So weird having to rewrite this but oh wells.

A spur of the moment decision. A memorable experience with friends. I didn't want to spend May Day at home so I sounded off a Malacca day trip in the Vroom vroom whatsapp groupchat. Thankfully, Naszerul, Zulhan and Zali were up for it. Yay!

Met up at 8am at B Point. As we were moving off, I told Zali to take the lead with Nas taking over at Machap using his GPS.

Unfortunately, Zali already had his earphones on and did not hear the Machap part. Imagine our faces when Zali rode past the Machap R&R nonchalantly. The disappointment. The confusion. The despair. Hahaha. What added to our mild annoyance was that Zali told us later he skipped Machap as he still had sufficient fuel to ride to Pagoh! Lol. So selfish! Haha.. But no harm done. As I mentioned later, that made the ride more memorable.

We finally reached our first destination before noon - Masjid Selat Melaka. In terms of massive, majestic designs, I still rate Masjid At-Tin highly among the mosques I've visited. But MSM has a beauty that is incomparable. The simple designs with the open sea as its background, cooling sea breezes, wide open facade.. Peace. I hope to visit it again some day.

After Friday prayers and some photo taking, off we rode for our second objective - A&W! Finally found the outlet in Dataran Pahlawan, which has had a do-over. Root beer floats and waffles later, we walked towards A Famosa, taking pictures along the way.

We finally made our way back towards Sg around 6.30pm. The skies were turning into red, orange and purple hues; we saw double raindrops in the skies before us. We took a prayer and drink break at Pagoh before riding in the darkness. It was an interesting experience, riding on Malaysian highways at night, kinda surreal.

We finally reached JB around 10. I had cheese murtabak while the guys had some of the biggest burgers I've ever seen. Unfortunately I departed from them there as I was pretty tired already and had work the next day so didn't join them to wash their bikes.

Good thing the traffic for bikes was little through immigration and I reached home before midnight. So that was the Malacca day trip. Kept going Malacca. Haha. Oh wells. It was near enough for small bikes like Zulhan and Zali's Pulsars yet far enough to satisfy bigger bike riders like me and Nas. Plus all those touristy places and things to do.

Maybe next time I'll ride up to KL.

Duty was quiet, fortunately. Played Cards against Humanity, did not even touch my 3DS, rested as much as I could. My allergies acted up so was sinusy for the better part of the day.

Today I had two weddings. Went for Fahd's at Changi V Hotel. Nice meeting Azharuddin, Azli and Yuli there. By 3pm I was already making my way to Khidhir's wedding where I met even more old, familiar faces. Azmi. Nas. Kurniawan. Dzaki. Nabil. Su, Ghani and Rayyan (finally meeting the cute lil boy!). Omar. Wow. All these TK peeps. Been too long. Even met Luqman, 31st ERSC!

But the biggest surprise was seeing her there. Yup, our 2nd time meeting was an accidental one at Khid's wedding. Niceeeee. I was even thinking, would it be possible to meet her while she was back for this weekend then there she was. Heeee.

To be honest I was sincerely relieved I recognised her. Hehehehe..

Anyways here I am back home. Having a mild migraine since morning, probably related to my lack of sleep. Was planning to do the CCA carnival video tonight, but we'll see how.

All in all, it has been a good weekend.

Btw, HBD, Dee.
