So I decided to finally learn how to use a sewing machine.

It's a life skill. I already know how to sew albeit not very well. I did learn using the machine during secondary school during Home Ec, but the lessons did not stick because a) I'm a boy. Boys ≠ Home Econs. B) my house did not own a sewing machine at that time. C) I did not see the need to learn.

But since I need green and white sampings and tanjaks for the TSC performance, I either had to buy or make my own. I decided to DIY.

Effectively I started around 3 or so. By 9 i had completed one samping and another almost completed. Sorry lah so slow. Firstly it's a first time, lagi L plate lei. Secondly, Aqilah through her own good heart wanted to help me. Takkan lah I nak reject her. So she pressed the pedal while I did everything else. Oh, and sewing on the lace was rather time consuming.

It was pretty slow going with lots of distraction, not least my running nose, but yeah, still completed those two sampings. Hurray!

Planning to go over on Thursday. Pretty fun. Finally I can work on the tool kit! Yay!

On the flipside, after quite a while, today is the first day I did not meet up with Fanna at all. Ah well, we both knew we had other plans. In shaa Allah I'll fetch her from work tomorrow.

Firebiker in 2 days time. Woot!

Oh, p.s. Met Cik Wan at Geylang tadi after buying the supplies. Although it was very short, it was nice to see them again after so long. I gave my condolences too. Wonder how I would react if I meet Cik Fidah outside..
