Blaaaaaaah.. Can't sleep. Been trying to since coming home from Kembangan. I gotta sleep, Sentosa beckons and I've got an early start to the day. Yet, slumber proves elusive so here I am, in front of my PC after what seems like ages.
I had a good Saturday. Went for Fanna's colleague Desmond's open house in Upper Serangoon. 4-room BTO flat, but with a balcony and boy does he have a view. I really enjoyed that balcony. It was nice meeting some of her colleagues, really got along well with Danial (not sure of his spelling). Even got to meet the new guy in Wanah's life.
Sending her home, the sky opened up just as we were about to exit ECP. What a downpour, completely soaking us in less than 5 minutes. First time riding in the rain with her, but glad she was positive about the experience. Thanks to that, went up, changed my pants and spent some time at her place before going to TS.
Due to the weather, I decided to play Silat Pictionary with those who came. It was fun, yet educational as I shared with them some stuff they didn't know (and we didn't know they didn't know...). Oh, and we had pizza! So yeah, not much of training but more of bonding and theory session.
So like I mentioned, got home but couldn't sleep. When Safwan came home, he wanted to work on some photos he took with my 600D but I had uninstalled Lightroom recently. So I told him to let me reinstall it first. Dejected and unable to proceed he managed to sleep, while I remained as alert as before. So I decided to install Lightroom.
Last Saturday, we had a futsal Spice Activity where I took some photos with my 600D so I had some photos to process. Imagine my dismay when I found the rubber flap of the HDMI and USB ports broken. I wasn't angry, but I was disappointed. Why didn't Safwan inform me immediately? Since he was asleep, I decided to just take a picture with my phone and Whatsapp him. I even told him I won't lend him my gear anymore.
I mean, come on. If you borrow something, return it in a good condition. If for whatever reason it is damaged, have the courtesy to inform. That was what I was thinking. But I didn't feel angry. Maybe it's because I was sleepy, or maybe I knew it was pointless shouting at him. Just disappointed.
Then, I looked at the rubber flap of the mic input. I decided to try and open it; I have hardly ever opened it. This time, I clearly broke the flap. So I guess it was just the rubber wearing out. It's not like it's brand new after all. Perhaps a reason to upgrade? Hehehehe.
Anyways, I'm glad I didn't lash out at my brother. I'll just talk to him tomorrow morning. I'm still good, just have to make sure he takes care of my gear.
So, SCDF Family Day at Sentosa in a few hours time and I'm still awake. In the evening, Ibu and I will finally go house hunting. Kinda excited. I'm putting off any big ticket purchases til we move in, and even then, gotta consider future wedding plans (In Shaa Allah). Been gathering ideas, so let's see what will be the final outcome.
So there, Brain. All that thinking, laid out in words. Hopefully I can sleep now.
