draining myself dry
I tried to keep up a certain momentum. Keep going, keep moving, don't think, just go, don't stop, continue acting and reacting, don't give myself time to ponder, numb my mind, numb my heart. So far... so good.
Saturday was super cool. Okay, not super but it was definitely a fantastic outing. What happened? Well, Wan ajak go and watch the "Defend The Turf" competition whereby teams from Singapore pit their skills against an average Brazilian team (according to Prof. Ansar) in beach soccer. According to the programmes and ads, it was suppose to start at 1pm.
So I invited other buddies, see if they were interested. In the end it was only Me, Wan (for those who are quite unsure, if I refer to Tanjong Katong peeps, this is Wan TK, if i refer to silat ppl, den it's either Wan, my bro, Uan or Wanif), Anwar and Ansar.
As usual, Anwar came late. The good news was an acquintance of Ansar had already been to Sentosa and found out that the Brazilian games (which was what we wanted to watch) was starting only around 6.40pm. So what did we do? We travelled to Parkway Parade, Ansar went home first, we played CS then meet up again at Paya Lebar MRT.
It was cool watching beach soccer. I think the organisers did not expect such a big crowd. Either that or they didn't have the budget for bigger capacity. If I was the organisers, I may have deemed the event a success if my evaluation is based solely on crowd size. In any case we managed to watch 4 games. Only one Singaporean team won. Yay.
Hey, at least someone won.
After the game ended around 8.15, we played beach soccer ourselves. I had no idea it was really so difficult; the players make it look easy. We played 2 V 2 among ourselves first before we played 4 v 4 against other groups. When we finally stopped playing, it was ard 9.40. Wow, it sure didn't feel like 1+ hour.
When I reached home, the election results were being broadcast. So its back to Status Quo. Let's get back to reality ok Singapore?
