Well today's the official end of my Polytechnic education. That's it. Au revoir. Sayonara. Yet.. it didn't feel like the end. It was more like... reunion?? o_O Seriously, the gap between the very last lesson/exam/ITP de-briefing and the graduation ceremony is waaaay too long. I've had enough time to have "moved on" from Poly life. I already felt and thought like a graduate for what, 2-3 months? In the end, the graduation seemed like a farce.
Yet, to not even have a ceremony is worse. How else can you officially draw a close to an important chapter of one's life? For Primary school, we had to return to school to collect our PSLE results. Similar for Secondary school, coming back once more for our O-level papers. But for me.. this ceremony wasn't so much for me as it is for my parents. They paid for my education. They have nurtured and loved me all these years and so they deserve this opportunity to see that their efforts weren't in vain. I hope that I have not disappointed them.
Waaa... getting to meet my coursemates once more before fate draws us to different paths. Apparently quite a number of the DMC boys aren't in NS yet. I'm kinda disappointed in my class; only Mel, Nas, Far, Chloe, Gnet and myself attended the event. Well, it's up to them, I guess but I was honestly glad to meet Hadi, Leslie, Jef, Neil and all the others once more. So to all you DMC peeps, All the best in life!
My regret about the ceremony? Had no chance to say thanks to a single lecturer. Only had the fortune to talk to Ms Peters but I just realised I didn't really get to thank her. Sigh. Well... Thanks sirs and ma'ams.. thanks for everything..
From Right: Xian Yong, Talhah, Leslie, Hadi and erm, erm.. what's his name again? =P
