Update: I'm Alive
Things have changed drastically since my last post 2 months back. Yet life for me remains mostly the same. The biggest change, as most people in my life would know by now, is the girl lighting up my life. Well, not that my life was bleak before. She kinda lights up the parts that are dark and empty. It's not smooth sailing (nearly nothing in life is, so why should this be an exception?) but I'm not complaining.
On the Silat front, went to Tanjong Balai, Karimun, Indonesia for the Sijori Championships as a Referee-Juror. Was a good experience, learned a few things and gain new friends. More exposure to the global Silat fraternity although this was/is a regional competition.
I've also decided to take a more active role in SP Silat. About time. Hopefully, our team will have better preparations for the IVP this year round.
What about TS? I dunno.. seem to have lost my enthusiasm a while back and yet to recover. It's got something to do with NS and TS now having more instructors and me being tired of all the political BS. Well, our next event is the Festival Temasek and I'm in charge of Publication again so hope I can do a similar or better job this year.
Fire station life has been okay. No major incidents for me yet. Most of the lifestyle I've gotten used to but I guess I still got lots to learn, be it from the NSFs and the Veterans.. Especially if I really wanna sign on..
Oh, and I ought to start a training regime for myself. Been slacking too much, nearly regaining the 'figure' I had pre-NS. Ah well..
