I think I've been watching too much Whose Line Is It Anyway on Youtube!!
I woke up this morning
With a bit of inspiration
So I started writing
In the morning, just past seven
I know, young mister,
I know why you're here
I know what you're after
You're here for my daughter
She's dressing up and all
She looks lovely with that shawl
She's expecting to have a ball
With you at the mall
I ask of you so kindly
Please bring her home safely
I love my daughter so dearly
Please bring her home early
Are you going by car?
Please, don't travel too far
Don't go into any bar
Don't be reckless, young as you are
Do not make me mad
Remember, I'm her dad
If you can listen to all that
Your future'll be easier, you'd be glad
No, I'm not yet a father
I don't even have a lover
All that doesn't matter
When you wake up all inspired
My pen just keep going
Words just keep flowing
The last time this was happening
I was still in TK schooling
It's a shame I gotta stop
This poem gonna be hard to top
Time for me to get up
