Worth $8.50
The most memorable movies usually possess a specific scene that when seen seems to justify the Seven Sing dollars or more you paid. Such was the case when I watched 'V for Vendetta'. No, it was neither the explosions nor the twists (ok they were awesome as well) but for me, it was the ultimate alliterated introduction of V. In fact, that scene alone was... Perfect for me.
No idea what I'm talking about? This is it:
Voila!
In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished; a vital voice once venerated, now vilified. However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation now stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violent, vicious, and voracious violation of volition.
The only verdict is vengeance. A vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and virtuous. Yet verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it is my very great honour to meet you, and you may call me V.
I dunno about you guys but being a former Literature student, that is F_____ brilliant. V for Vendetta is now my favourite movie. Heck, i even bought the official novelization. Can't wait for its DVD ^_^.
