I remember.
Non-human: What's the big deal about love anyway?
Girl: It's the closest thing we have to magic.
++++++++++
Haha I actually remembered the line from the movie I mentioned earlier. I just woke up, den poof! It became Koko Krunch! Haha ok ok just joking. But when I woke up, besides the thoughts of "what time is it?", "I smell" and other mundane ponderings, I suddenly recalled those two lines. And it's true, isn't it?
Lately, that's what I've been looking for within movies, a good quote. Perhaps it's the V for Vendetta side-effect but at least now it's given me a new angle to appreciate films. I mean, I like writing, I did copywriting for my internship and I don't mind doing it again so these kind of stuff sorta inspires me to push my limits and abilities higher and further.
In other news (literally), my mom's parents appeared in the local daily. It was an article on a book about how Singaporeans used to take ships to undertake the Pilgrimage and it so happened that of all the pictures, the Straits Times chose my late grandparents' picture. We didn't even know about the book. Wow.
You know something? Though I never met my late grandfather, I feel a unique bond to him. If I'm not mistaken, I was born shortly after he passed. if I'm not mistaken he returned to Him around March or April. It also seems that I inherit one physical trait of his - the eyebrow.
When I was younger I used to think that I should strive to achieve his standard academically; he was a High Court translator and one of my aunts still have a picture of him accepting an award from the late President Yusof Ishak. Of course, we all know what happened, but in all honesty, I don't mind how my life unravel in terms of education one bit.
I don't wanna talk too much about the Champions League final. The referee has marred the competition completely. He influenced the entire game and how it unfolded. I mean, COME ON! In the few, very very few, opportunities when Arsenal was attacking, the Barcelona could not really cope. Henry Vs Puyol? The Gunner's skipper came out on top. Imagine if it was 11 v 11. Imagine if Arsenal had the ability and opportunity to bring on the likes of Berkamp, Van Persie and Reyes later on. As it is, losing a keeper and having to fend off the likes of Ronaldinho, Eto'o and Deco, with Larsson coming on later, you can't seriously think that Arsenal would attack, would you?
It was meant to be an awesome night of football. F*/%^& you ref.
But I have to admit, the Barcelona goals were good. I don't know why but Ronaldinho was strangely subdued. Larsson was the catalyst. In all honesty, when Arsenal was down to ten men, and Rijkaard send on more and more attackers, it was inevitable. And thus, F*/%^& you ref.
I don't mind too much if Arsenal lost to Barcelona but not in this manner.
