Of Books, Bikes and Beds
Honestly speaking, I'm materialistic. Especially since I've started work. Perhaps it's kind of a payback for not getting the things I wanted when young(er), or I'm just not thrifty with my money.
I'm pretty much a gadget boy. I look for things with new or different features. Special pockets. Cool software. Only thing that has stopped me in the past (and now as well) is my lack of a deep, deep pocket. So I'm pretty happy with that. If I have the money.. GOSH!
Anyways, this is pretty much for recording purposes as well as for me to keep track of the things I want. In no order of merit (or desire). Am I gonna get them all? Unlikely. But, I do hope I can cross out most of them.. eventually.
1. Notebook.
This is easy enough. Working shifts like mine at a workplace with no wired internet connection, my HTC Desire Z has been an awesome asset to drown away the boredom. However, I do have a life beyond my occupation, with little personal projects on the side. Design. Editing. Writing. Those kind of stuff.
Yes, I do have a PC, but it's not like I can bring it to work, no? (That being said, I *actually* cannot use a laptop during office hours.. but Firemen rule no. 1 comes to play here - You can do whatever you want, just don't get caught :P )
Anyways, since I first used a Mac duri
ng DMC, I've kinda wanted to own a Mac one day. So naturally, it's the brand I'll go for if I wanna buy a laptop. No competition.
That was until I stumbled upon this:
Pretty cool, huh? It's definitely something different. I'm willing to try it out, should I have the money to splurge on a Notebook.
2. Ducati Monster vs Suzuki GSX
Now, I do not have a Class 2 QDL yet. I can only take it next year. Doesn't mean I shouldn't start considering my options :P
Ducati? Need I say more? Perhaps I'll have to elaborate more on the choice of the Monster over, say, the Hypermotard.
I've never been inclined towards racing bikes, even less for scramblers. I kinda like the look of naked bike, especially when it's as powerful as the Monster. The Monster.. its power is enough to awe.
So why then is my second option the Suzuki GSXR, well it's Keen's preference. Personally, I'd choose Suzuki B-King or GSR600. Like I said, naked but powerful :P
3. Bed
This may seem a weird thing to include. Hear me out. My room is kinda crammed. PC table. My wardrobe. Queen-sized bed given to me by my aunt. I like my bed, but I don't mind getting something smaller and give the bigger bed to my mom. So yes, off "researching" I go!
These are two day-beds sold in Ikea. What's cool about these two is that they can easily 'transform' into a bigger bed! The frame with the drawers can actually extend and thus you can put another mattress on it! Plus it has those drawers. More drawers are always a tick in my list :P (told you I'm crazy about features :P)
Big bummer? They cost nearly $800, without mattress(es). Sigh
Other option? Sofa bed. Specifically, like this:
Can find something like this much much cheaper than the Ikea day-beds. Still prefer those, but if I really am getting a new bed at a lower budget, this might be the choice.

Naturally, I've not decided on which is the one I'll choose for each of the category. That's the whole point of this post. For me to ponder. Who knows, I may find another option another time :P
