Scars
Can you count my scars? I have five, all trials of love
This is the oldest My first, my deepest, Left by one who shared my life But sadly despised half my heart
This is the second Blade lingering way too long Wounded still, plagued by her sight Letting her go was never right
This is the third Reminded me most of my first A small moment is all we had Something to reminisce back
This is the fourth Nothing major, just a face Cruel fate played us that day Three times stumbling into each other
This is my fifth The freshest of the lot Thought she was closest to healing my soul But left just like that 'cos of her O's
Can you count my scars Cloaking my broken heart? Can you feel my longing and my anguish As I wait for one to heal my soul The one who can find me In the deepest abyss of thy shadow
